I agree it is designed for input but if you wish to
feed the output from a hammond to another amp (NOT A Leslie) I think it will
work. It also gives controled output too (ie. the swell pedal works). Its been a
while since I've used mine with a seperate amp but I'm sure I did it that
way..

No.? The
phono input on the preamp is just that.? Its in case you want
to play
a radio/record player/synth etc through the organ.
