old hammonds in strange places

I spoke to a customer last week. He had a T500 he had found in a
hedgerow! He cleaned it up and it worked!!!

RE - both feet

Vincent Crane played Hammond in 'The Crazy World of Arthur Brown'
(Fire =
chart single late 60s). I booked band for gig at Imperial College
(London
Uni).In afternoon, during sound check (VERY rare in those days)
discovered
that band was duo - Crane playing bass with both feet on C3 with
radial
footboard. Drummer was Drachen Theaker, later to be Carl Parmer (of
ELP) -
Crane went on to Atomic Rooster. Anybody out there keen to document
Hammond
led bans of 60's - Brian Auger, Spooky Tooth, Nice, Grease Band - I
play a
very ancient L100 - bought in Wellingboro' (UK) for ?100 last week.
Do we
have any tales of ancient Hammonds turning up in odd places? I have
a couple
- would love to hear
