I'll tell ya. Things are different across the country (world). Value of
Hammond organs is largely based on model, condition, location, location.
An $8000 B3/122 in NC is a $11000 organ in CA and a $2500 in WA. But
generally speaking all organs are old. Most are so-so and need some
attention. If it is in great shape or already been serviced and isn't
so-so it will cost an arm and a leg.

Anyhow, as far as the organs go if it looks like I
could get a "steal" I might be interested in talking
to the guy. Otherwise too much moving (that old
Hammond bugaboo).
Well it is all you. Basically I see the equation as this. If you want
one now you pay more. If you are in no hurry and can wait as long as it
takes then you can be more picky and wait for the right one. I suggest
meeting everyone who has to do with organs. Talk to the local backline
rental agencies and players. Be the little brother to the Hammond freaks
and you'll find one. There is always a chance at a steal. But more
likely you will pay a reasonable amount for whatever. Hammonds are
expensive. Face it. You will not find a B3 for really cheap. It wont
happen. I know some who do but they are very connected. If you want
cheap buy a spinet. M3 is a great organ. It is limited by being a
spinet. You can't do some things on it but its a real Hammond. Good
