South had powerful two-suiters including six hearts and 6-5-2-0 distribution on both Boards 9 and 10. Board 9 was an E-W game with a good sacrifice in hearts; on Board 10 every table played in 4H. An iffy slam was attempted on Board 5 but had good luck and could have made; a better slam was missed on Board 12, as it required N-S to work out they had two running six-card minors. Board 14 delivered a cold slam that was reached six times; Board 15 a close slam bid and made three times.
