The visiting Cindy (our regular Cindy is without her usual partner at the moment) won all nine rounds and finished over 70%. Boric, Kelice and Elda all finished 7-2 in rounds; Jevin 6-1-2. Several pairs had good finishes to pull themselves up over the average mark.

Dianne was the only South to find the necessary diamond switch on Board 4 to hold 4H to ten tricks. Board 6 had all but one pair in 4H E and ad interesting time with singletons. Everyone played 3NT S on Board 8, which produced an endplay after the second trick at many tables. Board 9 was the slam hand; N-S missed an okay 7D and a fair 7C, both of which would have made, but four pairs did bid and make the good 6NT. Board 15 had a right-sided game if declared by South. On Board 17, nobody opened 1S in third position on AK83 A75 95 10654; in fact there were nine passouts! Fortunately Kevin opened 1H in second seat on a four-card suit so that I did not entirely have to go without.
