Every pair lost at least three rounds. Mahn had all their E-W boards in the first five rounds before switching to N-S and were above average on all ten boards. They then cruised in, losing the last three rounds to the pairs that finished 2-4.
There were multiple hands with interesting choices available in the auction concerning choice of opening bid, pre-acceptance, responding to 1NT and rebids for both opener and responder. The one slam was on Board 13; Diarcia avoided presenting declarer with the contract and were eventually rewarded with the set for a top board.
