Surely your use of the word "currently" is stretching things somewhat, as your article dates back to 2009?
ABB completed its acquisition of Thomas & Betts in 2012 so ABB is a lot more than just a distributor.

Jennings got sold to Thomas Betts and is currently rebuilding their sales network. This might include ABB as distributor.
I think you know the story of the Jennings VP of engineering who became the chief scientist at Gigavac. The used the management team from Kilovac after TE Connectivity bought Kilovac, which would explain the price rises.
