In the 70s, toured US Naval Radio Station, Oso, WA (aka "Jim Creek"). At the time, they were pushing 1296A into 0.456¦¸ (766 kW). They dump the waste heat into Jim Creek. We were told that the creek temperature rises 1¡ã when they have the transmitter cranked up to +3 dBM (2 MW). Oy!
