French speaking expert on digitalization of health information systems
Dear colleagues, I am writing to seek your support in identifying experts that can help WHO in support of French speaking country. The country is working on digitalization of its national health information system (HIS). The country has demonstrated strong high-level commitment to enhancing its HIS, including the establishment of a dedicated health information department and operational action plans within the Ministry of Health. Additionally, there are existing efforts to enhance interoperability of parts of the HIS, such as the use of District Health Information Software (DHIS2) for three priority programs (HIV, TB, and Malaria), with other HMIS solutions used in the health sector. The Ministry of Health has approached WHO to help identify consultants who can support a rapid assessment of legal frameworks, existing platforms, system interoperability, and other key factors. This assessment will form the basis for developing a costed national action plan for HIS digitalization. The consultancy will involve in-country work, supplemented by possible remote support. This is an urgent request, and I kindly ask for your suggestions for French-speaking digitalization experts, along with their CVs, by 27 January 2025, copying Dr Henry Doctor (doctorh@...). The country team will review the submissions and engage with the selected consultant to finalize the scope of work, timelines, and engagement modalities. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. With regards Arash -- Arash Rashidian Director of Science Information and Dissemination WHO Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean

Dear GDHN, Transform Health is excited to announce the launch of our new policy brief, ¡®Establishing Gender Equitable Foundations for Digital Health Transformation - to Advance Universal Health Coverage¡¯, which makes the case for investment and action to establish the foundations and guardrails for a gender equitable digital health ecosystem.
