I have a feeling, and it is only a feeling, that the installer for 282 is not perhaps installing all the required components, whereas the 280 installer does.
So, if possible could you on one of your PCs, please
1) Uninstall 282
2) Delete C:\Program Files (x86)\G8JCF\G8JCFSDR
3) Using Regedit, delete Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\VB and VBA Program Settings\G8JCFSDR
4) Install 280
5) Check 280 operates correctly
6) Uninstall 280
7) Install 282
8) See if 282 works now - crossed fingers it will :-)
