Thank you for your assistance in the matter! Very interesting and
cheap kit, as always.
I have read the articles but I still cannot understand the need
of Arduino. Is it necessary for programmming the functions of the
receiver? The old board had three sockets: antenna, power supply
and BF output and it worked.? Would you please help me to
understand? Sorry for my lack of familiarity in Arduino, for me
it's a new thing to deal with!

I asked Elektor what soldering was needed on
the SDR board and they replied:-

>It
is only the headers that need to be soldered.
>The module is identical to the one in the SDR Hands On
Kit.

So just a matter of soldering the headers that
connecter to the Arduino board. The accompanying articles
are now apparently free to download, but you have to
register.

Massimo,
I bought the ¡°SDR Hands On Kit¡±
?
?
and it came with the module ready built, but it
looks as if you now have to solder the connectors to the
board. You also need an Arduino.
The book has all the instructions the
instructions. I believe you can download the articles from
the links in the module:-

?
I have e-mailed Elektor to see what comes in
the new module.

Ok, Dave, I understand. Would you please
be so kind to send me the link where I can find everything I
need to build the new receiver? I am not expert in
programming, so I need a ''ready to go'' unit!
Thank you all.
