I was phoned today by John Lambert (G3FNZ) who informed me that Dr John Theobald (G3EQM) one of the founder members of the Clifton was now ‘silent key,’ having passed away about fortnight ago. This information came from John Theobald’s XYL who stated that her husband had passed away peacefully.

Dr John (G3EQM) had been a school friend of John Lambert when they had both attended St Dunstan’s College during the war years. John Theobald went on to qualify as physician? at Guy’s Hospital specialising in care of the elderly.

Unfortunately we have no other information other than Call Book gives John Theobald’s address as in Exeter.

I am sure our thoughts are with his family at this sad time.
