Been interested in Steve and Colin talking about them using the RBN network. Having not been on for some time I am not familiar with this network. Would anyone provide with any information on how this works and how you use the system.

I have just had a very scratchy contact with Tony on 15m. He was 319 at best. I could see him on the waterfall, but even with a 250Hz filter, it was tough going. I was running my linear and a 4 el yagi on a 10m long boom. I was altered by setting an alarm in the "VE7CC cluster user" software. This makes a screen pop up when the RBN found Tony, first on 10, then on 12 and finally on 15m where I could just detect him. Give it a try if you need to find someone (or somewhere) in particular.
I think even JKY would have struggled to have a full QSO at the signal strengths involved. I wonder how well you heard me, Tony? Sorry for calling with fast cw, I forgot to turn the keyer down.....
