Subject: Last day of ops tomorrow

?

Whatho gang!

Today 20th October, we have been in port at Punta Delgada the Azores, unfortunately we have been plagued with fairly continuous rain driven by strong westerly breeze which prevented any radio ops from the open deck. However we did manage to get out on the bikes a rode a fairly moist 38miles. On our return to the ship we spent the rest of the afternoon packing the bikes into their hard shell transit cases.

As I type we are now underway on a course of 51 degrees towards the UK. The ship is rolling well again as we have strong winds across the deck.

The forecast is for the wind to swing into the SW and therefore it will be on our stern and if the rain ceases we should able to operate.

Tomorrow will be our last day of ops as we have remove all the feeder, counterpoises the antenna and brackets ready to pack in both the bicycles cases and our suitcases before consider packing our clothes.

If the WX allows, hopefully we will have opportunity of working you tomorrow. On 12m,15m or 20m. On Thursday evening whilst in port at Punta Delgada 20m (14.185) gave some very good UK and European QSOs
