Re: g2_link admins - please note change to gwys.txt updates

Terry,
Also, not all US Trust registered systems run Dplus !! Some of mine do and others don't.

Hello Rich¡ so I looked at the Pi-Star DPlus.hosts file at and neither KC0CVU or KD0QPG are in that list. They are listed in the USTRUST database at

We will have to take a look at why the Pi_Star query, which states:

# DPlus_Hosts.txt downloaded from

# DPlus Hosts resolved from DNS, with additional hosts

# sourced from

# Please report issues at

# File created at Monday 26th of April 2021 09:17:14 PM UTC

Does not include these systems.

This is not correct yet...

?

The change that came in dated 03:00 MT 25 Apr:

1. was different than the previous different one dated Apr 11 05:56 MT

2. This new file is MISSING a boatload of gateways, my KC0CVU and KD0QPG are at least 2 of them.

3. the new file has only 3273 entries

4. the previous file had 4497 entries

?

my script maintains the original file date from the server, doesnt change my "current" file unless there is a difference, and runs once per day.

thus I can detect changes over a very long history and can trace when and what change happened.

ICOM G2/G3 Systems running g2_link

We are now building the gwys.txt file (used by g2_link) based on the host files used by Pi-Star.? This allows us to provide a much 'richer' gwys file and also ensures consistency.? g2_link uses a script (get_gwy_list.sh - depending on your installation, this may either be in the /root/g2_link folder OR in /root/my_scripts) to get the gwys.txt file from my website.? Please change this such that the file is now retrieved from the XLX405 server - i.e:

Replace:? wget?

With:? wget?

Save / Exit - you can manually run the script to pull the new gwys file, if you wish, otherwise it will be pulled via the nightly cron.
