external power jack

OOOOps. Well I went and did it. I accidentally shorted +12VDC to
the heatsink and now it doesn't work. The internal NiCad battery pack
still powers up the rig just fine but I cannot charge it now. Has
anyone else made this mistake? Looks like a trip to the Radio Doctor
is in order.

What doesn't work?

Is it possible you blew a fuse on your power supply or on the leads?

Can you assure yourself that your power connector actually is still supplying 13.8?

Just a thought.

Hi Brian,

The external power jack no longer works. The power supply was a 7AH
gellcell and no fuse inline. the connector and battery are fine. The
rig still works with internal battery power but can no longer be re-
charged through the radios external power jack.
