Re: FT817 Memory cable
Kev,
For a UK seller, I purchased a USB serial CAT cable from Technofix - "FTDI USB Cat & programming cable for Yaesu FT-100 FT-817 FT-857 FT-897 CT-62 equivalent".

ft-817nd High SWR 40m
Hi Folks,
For some reason my FT-817 even when attached to a dummy load shows infinite SWR even when connected to the configured antenna port on a dummy load... all other bands seem to be just fine.

Re: Yaesu FT-818ND Discontinued Manufacturing

Re: FT817 Memory cable
You'll want a cable like this:
USB-62C Programming/CAT Cable
rtsystemsinc.com
The Yaesu part wants a 9 pin serial port on the computer:
YAESU CT-62
hamradio.com
And a third option is the Blue Max 49
