It depends on where you buy them I guess.? McMaster had some that worked pretty well but as other have pointed out the mating slots and tabs are not identical.? We (my FIRST robotics team)

I ran into some knock-offs where the shells lacked a thru-hole for the metal prong to go thru - you couldn't see thru an empty connector.

I bought powerpole knockoffs from Amazon a few years ago. The housings would not mate up with the Powerwerx housings. The looked similar enough though. I wont try them again.?

the hybrid SDR radios like Elecraft K4 or Yaesu FTDX-xxx are still using filtered roofers (as there is no better way how to protect ADC from overloading) but they are using crystal filters.

I use one of these. I takes the radio and all accessories apart from my JPC-12 antenna and comes with a pile of component storage boxes! Cost ?24.
