If the receive current of the ft-817 is truly 450mA as our friend from Japan has said, I seriously doubt I'll buy one. I had heard earlier that the receive current was around 150mA. I wonder why the

If you read the fine print, I think you will find out when you turn off the back light it drops substantially. Same problem with the IC 706. Jerry W3cde
