Ulf, CW is generated by unbalancing a double-balanced mixer. Presumably the hum is FM, rather than AM¡ªare you able to check with an oscilloscope or similar (an auxiliary SDR, for instance?) Two

Well Pietro I never connected to packet but I have worked the ISS on low power 5 watts worked great. I also used the LOS sat's cross band 2/440 before. Could not believe I work the sat's on 5 watts.
