I own the Z-11 and know that it works well enough with the MP-1 to work the world.
I also own other SGC autotuners and swear by them so I am interested in getting an SGC 239 and trying it out.
It seems to me that it would be easier to carry the SGC and some wire around for portable ops than to lug the MP-1 around with the Z-11.
I went to HRO in Burbank and asked if they had one in stock, the salesman gave the usual HRO courtesy answer "They have one in Sunnyvale, it is $200.00" So much for instant gratification!
I think I will purchase one somewhere as I know the quality and ease of use.
Once I do it will be fun to compare with other setups that I have tried.

Subject: [FT817] SGC's SG-239 tuner or LDG's Z-11. both work great! read on
I had the chance to check out both of these great tuners, and
actually publish some forward and back power readings..
Observations galore, read about it on Eham...
I'm happy to answer questions about it, and YES it was done with an
817, that fabulous little FT-817...
