Re: Sun Spots

Simon,

We're just past the peak. Conditions still good. 10 meters is great when
open. Normal summertime (northern hemisphere) conditions are in effect
(sporadic E, etc). This cycle not as good as predicted, but still good.
The 817 folks are working lots of DX on all HF bands. Come join the fun!

Hi All,

As per my previous post, I have been QRT for so long it's a wonder I can
even remember my own name. Anyway, where are we in the sunspot cycle this
evening :-) ?

Would a 10m whip be at all sensible?

Hi Simon,

I'm using a Cushcraft CS50M Magmount antenna. It has a loading coil
at the base. The whip length is about 1.25 meters. It works fine for
me.
