How do you use the shift capability to program the two different
bands into the same memory
When editing a FT-817 memory in FTBasic the top part of the screen
shows a number of text boxes and drop-down boxes. The RX text box
is for receive frequency, RX Mode is for receive mode, the Shift
drop-down box can be one of 4 values - Simplex, Plus, Minus or
Split. Split means that the next box TX/Offset should contain
the TX frequency, NOT an offset from the RX Frequency. This
frequency may be any valid transmit frequency and need not be in
the same band as the receive frequency. The TX Mode is the transmit
mode, which may be different to the receive mode.
I must make the manual more clear. Sorry for the confusion. Any
suggestions for better wording gratefully received - please mail
me direct to avoid clogging up the eGroup.
