I believe that it is necessary to do a micoprocessor reset after changing the frequency pads to properly initialize the 817 to its
new configuration?!

I just got back from Dayton and jumpered the first four
jumpers, closed five, and left the others alone. In my
case the radio is not able to TX on any new frequencies.
Is there a chance the software has been updated?
Thanks,
Greg

Hi,
look at what you said:
Does any one know which of the frequency mod.s works best?
Is it the "solder the first four pins and leave the 5th. open" or
bridge the "first four jumpers".
They both describe the same modification, just different phraseology!
