Anyone locate a vendor who would honor the prices? Hamcom is coming up in Arlington, but we usually don't get "Dayton" type deals.

I don't know about everyone else saying they were quoted a price of $669 USD at HRO. When I checked on Friday AM HRO was selling them for $639 UDS each!? So I got one, paid cash, and my printed sales slip shows the price I was quoted above. Maybe they were selling so fast they jacked the price up to match the vendor in the next booth, which was quoting a price of $669 USD each, later on. Hummm? The highest price I was quoted was $760 USD from Michigan Radio. When I said I could get one from HRO much cheaper I was told, by a sales agent at the vendor's booth, that they were "selling old stock, and not the model with the current factory changes". I checked at the Yaesu booth and was told that was completely untrue. Looks like Dayton's Hamvention is not the place for the careless shopper if they want to save money. 8->> Leland C.
