Folks...
Any 817 owners out there that know about use of "AA" rechargeables in
the rig? [As opposed to buying the Yaesu pack]. I'd like to put in
some of those Maha hi-capacity NiMH cells...
Is there some extra connection or setup/configuration needed? I get
the feeling from the manual that all sortsa bad things'll happen if
you don't use a Yaesu rechargeable pack ;-) - but then most
everything I've owned/fixed says "no user serviceable parts inside"
too ;-)
Going out to HRO to get my DTMF mic (MH31? - whatever - the one
that's spec'd in the manual).
