I'm not a member of the sgc2000 egroup, so I'll just make it short: It's not a contest or DX rig, selectivity isn't very good and forget CW although I have operated CW mobile with it on occasion. It is simply a very rugged mobile SSB rig with good transmit audio punch but not too much background noise transmitted. I have run it for a couple of years in a noisy, leaky, vibrating old Jeep and it has served admirably.
