I own The FT-817, and a FT60R. After coming home from a POTA activation I immediately set up to recharge my batteries overnight. When I bought my FT-817 it came with a charging/power supply which I use just for it. My FT60R has a PA-44B AC adapter to charge the handheld.
I noticed that the plugs for each are similar. However, the charging/power from the PA-44B is 12v 2.0A output. I'm just wondering if it is compatible with the FT-817 since the max output of the transceiver is 5 watts? Can I use the PA-44B to charge my battery in the FT-817?
