guys:
I
have a question about my ft817.
Yesterday, I was on 28336 on ten meter usb
mode.
When
I attempted to answer a buddy, and I key up the
mic,
The
frequency would shift upwards to transmit on
283445.
I
looked up the menus to see if repeater shift was on, and I got the
following:

Menu
Item 42 [RPT SHIFT]
Function: Set the magnitude of the Repeater
Shift.
Available Values: 0 ~ 99.99
MHz
Default: Depends on transceiver version, and the band in
use.
Each
band’s repeater shift (HF/50/144/430 MHz) may be set
independently.

The
thing is, when I enter menu 42 and turn the tuning knob to the left to try to
get it to 0, then hit hold the function button to get out of the
menu,
The
voice box I have reports nothing.
Has
anyone else ever encountered this problem?
