Thanks for the UK / EU certificate and the advice regarding purchase of a Japanese specific radio. On balance that might be the wiser option.? My destination is Kitakyushu but if I fly into Japan via Tokyo, it would give me the chance to visit Akihabara where I should be able to make a purchase.
