Hi folks - I'd like to tinker with using the headphone output from a phone, feeding the mic socket of the 817 (so I can use the rig's VOX facility).
Would be enough to use the settings on the phone (volume) and 817 (mic gain) to reduce the audio level to a which won't overload the rig?
I'm especially keen not to case any damage! If anyone else is using this method, I'd be interested to hear your solution.
