Where did you get that powerpole?? Sounds like a real improvement over those "coaxial" connectors.

I cannot use one of these on my rig. A year ago a chip cap on the pc board power line by the power jack blew up and wiped out the trace. I believe it was a 0.1 uF, 16V cap. 16 volts seems dicey on a 13.8 volt line, Anyway, I repaired the trace but it weakened the mount for the DC jack.? It wobbles a little. So I had to get one of the Powerpole plugs that mounts with a screw onto the radio. It is very stable. I have not had problems with it.
