I guess that a visual inspection is not enough. You have to use test equipement because not all problems can be seen with your eyes. I also had a broken connection after resoldering all worked fine again.

Seeking help from the brain trust, thanks. Rig not getting power thru rear connector, runs ok on battery. Have tried multiple plugs, cables, power sources, etc. Port is clear (no fragment of plug inside). Visual inspection under hood does not reveal any obvious (to me) defect.
