I use 2 5200 ma RC car batteries for the FT-817.? Works very well and lasts quite a while till finally going below the required voltage of the unit.? Fairly light weight and small.

I like the Bioenno LiFePO4s, they are excellent.? A 9AHr that will power the FT817 for many hours cost over $100, but I feel well worth it.? Can get LiFePO4s on Amazon for much less, I have one and has performed well, cannot say much more.? My Bioenno 9AHr has really worked out well, never run it down.? I've had for about 2 years.? Use for POTA.
