KX2 and KX3 SOTA activators in western NC more often have KX 2/3 radios on activations and you already have a KX3 - few 817¡¯s used on SOTA.?With your 891 and 857 you¡¯ve got the power for HF portable and if 2M is important to you take $30 from the proceeds of the sale of the 817 and buy a Baofeng, and build a J-Pole for those few times you want 2 on a POTA/SOTA trip. You probably have a 2M rig in the car already. KX3 has more operating features than 817 making it more versatile. With your inventory of radios I can¡¯t see what operating capabilities you would lose sellin¡¯ the 817.
