Why would a spam notice even be sent though if everything had been going fine up to that point? Working one day, then not the next suggests the possibility of something having changed at Io in order to trigger the spam notice on a recipients device.
?Not trying to start an argument, but assuming the recepient's device is always at fault may not be such a strong point of view as stated. If multiple people experience the same issue, then the common denominator could still be with io. Just another line of thinking.

I am not the expert but it is my understanding that it is now desired practice to have spam filters and Email clients respond to the originating sender that a piece of Email is considered spam. That then triggers the automatic unsubscribe. The idea is that if you (for whatever reason) get on an undesired mail list, marking the traffic as spam will automatically stop the spam.

At least that is how it is SUPPOSED to work. But it assumes that all spammers adhere to this practice and remove you from their mail list if you mark a post as spam..... and of course they don't. In the mean time, all the good guys DO adhere to this practice and unsubscribe you if you or your anti-spam software or anything else (like a spam filter at your ISP) marks a post as spam.

Kinda like many other well intended rules.... a pain for the good guys and totally ineffectual against the bad guys.

At least that is how I THINK it works.
