Re: goodbye...

Why would a spam notice even be sent though if everything had been going fine up to that point? Working one day, then not the next suggests the possibility of something having changed at Io in order to trigger the spam notice on a recipients device.
? ?Not trying to start an argument, but assuming the recepient's device is always at fault may not be such a strong point of view as stated. If multiple people experience the same issue, then the common denominator could still be with io. Just another line of thinking.

It isn't personal.? It is a "feature" of mailing lists like
groups.io.... and I don't like it.

The deal seems to be that if something (like you, your Email client,
your spam filter or maybe even your ISP) marks a post as spam, that
sends a notice to groups.io and groups.io tries to be helpful and
unsubscribes you from the "offending" list.? That triggers the Email to
you with re-subscribe instructions.

This is all automated and there is nothing that I can see that
listowners can do about it.? I own a couple lists and it happens from
time to time.? I don't see it as a feature you can switch off.

Again, it isn't personal and is (probably) not a reaction to anything
you did.? I just live with it as a consequence of using groups.io, which
is otherwise a good reliable and (generally) free service.
