开云体育According to the APP data, the difference is not in the contact itself, all the standard contacts are rated for 45A.? The difference is in the wire gauge the terminal can handle.? The 15A terminal can handle 45A, but an 18 ga wire cannot.? The 30A is limited to 30A only because of the 14 ga wire. ? Back when I was young and cheap, I would have doubled up the thin wire and soldered it, or beat it with a hammer to flatten the connection.? For bigger wire I would have driven a drift-punch in and spread the connection open.? I’m not that hard up anymore, and actually the smaller terminals are cheaper too.? So I sucked it up, bought the full kit with the crimper a few years ago.? Now I’m in APP heaven.? Use the right terminal for the right size wire….. only the 45A terminals are that expensive….. but mostly I use the 15A or 30A anyway.? Just used a hand full adding a brake controller to the JEEP. ? You can use 15A, 30A or 45A ones as they all use the same size housings. The most common are the 30A ones. ? Waverley ARS in Sydney sells bags of 10 sets for $25/bag and which you can order through their website vk2bv.org. BTW, theirs are genuine Andersons, not the Chinese copies. ? 73….Eric VK2VE ?
