The panel unit change was made somewhere at Lot-30, or so says the bulletin.? The ND panel unit uses solder jumpers.? Period. That is what makes them an ND panel unit, it was a requirement to gain type acceptance.? This is clearly defined in the maintenance bulletins put out by Yaesu during that transition period.

Mike anything is possible. I haven't disassembled the radio? to have a look. However, I can confirm that the display has the 3 back light colours selectable.
