I have just finished putting together a 'remote faceplate' for my '817'.

This is a Nextion touch screen coupled to an Arduino and is based on the excellent work by EA3DMM (see the Nextion Facebook Group), plus not to forget IK1JNS who helped me in obtaining the correct library files - thanks gents.

This Allows me to control the radio via the touchscreen with features such as direct freq entry, mode change, signal metering etc etc.

Now, before i build a case I was wondering if i could include a Rotary encoder for up/down tuning with perhaps the push button of the encoder used to select fast/slow tuning . The stumbling block, after many google searches i can't find any mention of tuning or fast/slow functions being available as CAT command ?

Are these command available ? I am guessing so as i vaguely recall these functions being in some of the PC based CAT applications, unless they are doing something clever in software !

Any tips or guidance would be appreciated.
