I have a number of the LDG tuners, AT100, Z11Pro and Z817 I use with my FT817.? I like them all, but really like the AT100, has forward and reflected bars on front so can see power output and reflected and really see when tuned.
Yes I advise anyone getting one of these tuners to go with one of the larger ones that can handle 125W, As said can also be used to 100W rigs.? The tuners will tune down to less than 0.5W so at 2.5 or 5W from FT817 not a problem.? I just wanted smaller & lighter tuner for my FT817 so got the Z817 for it.? I am pleased with it's performance.

I made the right decision. I chose the ldg 100 for the same reason. FT817 was my first set so nearly bought the ldg817 atu . Glad I didn¡¯t as I now have an FT 450D and can use the ldg100 on experimental antennas.? The internal atu is enough for my main QTH ones since they are not far out. (One is a non? resonant? multiband so needs atu). What I love is only changing batteries every few years.
