Problem solved !? Traced it down to a bad solder joint of the white wire to the main board where the small cap was removed.? Boy those sure are some tiny solder pads !? Cleaned and resoldered it, and now have full volume and the filter is working great.? Really like it on CW, to me sounds better than a crystal CW filter !
