This is a case where the solution is to cut the cable that feeds the rig, and install a PP connector. ? And... you can install a PP connector on the piece you cut off, so as to make a cable adapter that will restore the original plug's capability. ?Don't forget to double check the polarity of the leads inside the cable. ?And check again.
