The one thing that is being overlooked is it is NOT the anderson power poles that is causing the problem. It is the insertion of a coaxial power plug. It doesn't mater if there is a Anderson power pole connected to the other end or just a extended power lead. It is the insertion of the power plug itself that is tripping the internal switch in the radios power jack. So the answer to the battery drainage problem is NOT to plug anything in the radio power jack if you have experienced the battery drainage problem when storing the radio with internal batteries.
