Edited

Well i've thought about another FAT table for a while, this just might be the push i needed! :) No idea of the cost as it's not yet listed on the Felder site.

The new power drive table is on the website now.
?
$3790 plus shipping - they call it "Bulky Goods"? ?I.e. expensive to ship.
?

PK, the regular Fat300s is also “bulky” and Felder charged me ~$300 to ship it with a lift gate service from Delaware to CA.

It is expensive?for such a product. If Felder produced an electric?vehicle, the price would start from at least $80K.

Oh well, that is C$5482 based on the current exchange rate. In 2010, the Canadian dollar reached parity with the US dollar. Now, lowest since 2003.?

Netanel,
?
You are way better at negotiation than I am!!
?
The best I could get from Felder on a regular 300 to so cal was $500.? So I reached out to Carl to see if I could pick it up locally for less.? He tried to work a deal and it would have been less than $200 but I would have to wait.
?
So I went with the Rangate carts.

Hmm, well it's still not up on the Canadian site, but wow, 795USD for the addition. Maybe i will continue to procrastinate for a little longer! :)

No negotiations here.
i didn’t have my track back then and Fergus told me he had one in Sacramento (100 miles from me).
I checked the eshop and the delivery was $298.46,
I figured once I’ll rent a pick up and pay for gas, the difference wouldn’t be that big (not to consider the time to pick one, and it isn’t sensitive equipment?

I bought it on Nov/29/23
Of course Felder had a free delivery promotion two weeks after I bought mine?

:) Gary has been trying to sell me one for a while now! I believe they're made here in Canada too!

Not cheap but the manual Fat 300 has proven to be invaluable on a variety of fronts...get a little leg workout.? The power version does look tempting though.

I was expecting the FAT 300 to be an occasional help in my shop, but it's already proven more than that. I'm currently working on a porch bed swing, and the ability to lift/lower AND turn around has been a back saver and time saver.

Hi Bryce,?
?
Yes, it's my understanding that Rangate is importing the casters and hydraulics from Germany, but welding the frame and performing final assembly in Canada. Seems like a sensible approach.?
?
I have the FAT 500 S and I just love it, if I had a larger shop I'd definitely look at a few of the "300"-class tables to supplement it.?
?
Cool to see that the "Power Drive" version uses a CAS battery.?

Bryce,
?
I have two of the Rangate lift tables.? The first one is the 'Original style', not sure where it was made (I assume in Europe based on the languages on the stickers) and then the newer version.
?
The newer version of the Rangate lift cart is nicer IMHO, but the first version is great too and I think the first version is better than the FAT 300.
?
Both of my carts were 'Demo Versions' and were packed and shipped with the best of care.? The last one came on a pallet that I may keep forever - it is that good!
?
AS for the use case, my Barth 500V? is manual lift with the foot pedal and so are both of my Rangate's.? I am a sucker for tech, but I don't see the value of the electric lift.? I know the newer Barth can be had with electric lift too, but it is lighter than the 500V.
?
I also have a Bishamon BX50 lift cart that is made in Japan and rated for 500kg.? It is a beast and at least 30 years old.? It is not as maneuverable as the FAT or Rangate, but rock solid.? I actually keep it outside!
?
I guess I will play with them at AWFS at the Felder booth and see if the use case makes sense.? Either way, I won't replace what I have.

Every time this comes up i share my favorite tables that are 1/3 the price. ?The air-2000 lift table by Vestil. I have two and they are total tanks. You can lift by using your foot or attach to an air hose and just watch it lift for you. 2000lb capacity. They make lighter ones if you want that. Additionally, I like the US made Handy Industries air B.O.B 1500 pneumatic lift table. Add a butcher block top and you have a modern workbench that is more useful than a roubo bench.?

I seriously considered the Vestil (and similar) tables.? The main problem was I wanted to make an MFT top (with 20mm holes) and the flat stainless steel surface of these Vestil tables was a major problem.? The other problem is the push handle for these types of tables will get in the way when using it as a work surface/bench. ? For this scenario you really need a lift table that is a "frame only".?
?
Unfortunately, Felder and Rangate are the only game in town and they are definitely expensive.? If you just want a lift table, then the Vestil is likely a great bang for the buck.

You can weld a steel frame on top of the steel table top, then mount the MFT top on the frame.

This hydraulic electric double scissor lifting table rated at 1000 KG?is only C$1180, free shipping to Canada. Great value for the money.

I was wondering if someone tried to add vacuum clamps (like the Barth 500V) to the Felder/Rangate frames??

I was investigating this recently and I found these interesting vacuum dogs that fit in 20mm holes.

Also work with 8mm groove.?

I bought the rangate lift cart. I’m currently working on an MFT table top with a 3030 aluminum extrusion based torsion box that has an 8mm groove that can be used with festool style clamps for side clamping. It’s also going to be my first YouTube video.?

Thanks,
Rohit Kulshreshtha?

The handle unbolts very easily. I am sure you could screw or glue a top to the solid vestil top.?
