kip lever question

do they make any kip type clamping lever where the handle could be flipped vertical? it would allow easier removal where there is not much horizontal clearance to fully rotate the handle.

I use this method when you cannot fully rotate the handle.
Get the appropriate T-handle hex or torx driver, lift the handle
to disengage it and turn the handle mounting screw CCW.
The screw does not loosen from the body of the Kipp lever.? ?

thanks Jerry. good to know. currently i have to remove the kip lever to lift my homemade clamp off slider - your suggestion should speed it up. issue is that i made the slider nut too long and it does not come out due to slider handle being in the way. i may just notch the handle wall to be done.

going from using clamps on KF700 w/o outrigger to K975 with outrigger is a diff experience. primarily due to the short xcut fence fixed tnut and inability to slide the clamp off because handle is in the way.

Kipp makes these in threaded hole and threaded post. They can tend to be pretty large, I bought some to try with the Flipstop and they are too big and bulky for that application.

thanks Brian. i saw these cam action levers but they do not ratchet, which is not necessary. you think they would be strong enough for pneumatic clamps?

Plenty strong enough, and you don’t need to ratchet, they pivot anywhere you want them. The ones I got for 5/16 studs are pretty large, so you might have to reduce the size of the thru stud on the clamp, thus using a smaller threaded t-nut.
