Description:
I added the shaper section from the BGHM training document. Dave Davies

Wow! At first glance it looks like a wealth of good information. It's always good to be reminded how to use these machines safely. I've a few "pucker" moments that I would like to avoid. This document will be helpful. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you!!!

Thank you David,?

I just uploaded the full translated document, I haven't had a chance to review, but looks like good info on shapers, sliding table saws, band saws, etc...?

On this page there is the original document in German:

The BGHM books are the best safety manuals. A lot better than the British HSE. They give the books out free at Fenester Bau. I did not see their booth this year.
If you are interested in shaper, sliding table saw and other stationary machines Guido Henn has several good books on these.

I fully agree and have them on the shelf under arms reach. I am lucky to be proficient in German, AFAIK there is no English translation available.?

They can be obtained at?https://www.holzwerken.net/produkt-kategorie/buecher/werkzeuge-und-maschinen/

Kind regards,?

Jonathan?

Google Translate is your friend with these books.?
The DVD that comes with them is helpful also.

Many thanks for mentioning this on the Creek recently Joe,?
Never came across this, though the UK HSE stuff mentioned aplenty, with thanks also to Dave for the translation.
Must look up Guido Henn to see if I can find more, I see he's got a recently made youtube channel, (wot's seemingly not created for shilling) looks like I might learn a few tips from him.

Cheers

My friend was gracious enough to run the full 2016 BGHM document through Google Translate, I've uploaded to the FOG Files section here: /g/felderownersgroup/files/Articles%20&%20Reviews/Woodworking_Machines%20English.pdf?

I haven't had an opportunity to read through all of it quite yet, but from what I have read the machine translation generally makes sense.?
?
Thank you Tom Trees (and by extension Joe Calhoon) for mentioning the document in a different thread.
