I ordered about $3,000 worth of cutter heads and knives from Infinity Tools to help with a door project I have. I placed the order back on January 10th. They still have not sent the completed order to me and every time I call to ask they tell me its back ordered and will be shipped in two weeks. Obviously when I call two weeks later, they tell me "it will now be shipped in two more weeks".
Anyway, I'm pretty sure I just got scammed out of $3k. Which obviously sucks. But honestly at this point I just need to get the tooling to finish the project.?
Anyone know of a more trustworthy website where I can order cutter heads for rail/style door making kits? I would like to avoid router bits and instead use shaper cutter heads. But honestly at this point I would take anything just so i can make progress on this project.

Yeah. I should have gone with them in the first place.
From Infinity i got the rail/style kit. the deep tennon kit. and the raise panel stuff for $3,000. Which is about half as much as the same stuff from Rangate. But obviously, now I see why. I dont know how any professional, or anyone who has clients to keep happy, can order from Infinity.?
Well looks like now I'll need to bite the bullet and go with Rangate anyway.?

Call them and ask to speak with their manager or boss, and request the refund.

I use Whitehill most frequently.? International shipping takes a couple days from shipment to my door and doesn't break the bank. The website shows stocking levels and when to expect shipping -- very helpful.

Just to echo - I've purchased from Infinity previously and had no issues. I'd assume they're telling the truth when they say backordered.

Brian, Whitehill is getting stuff here from the UK in 2 to 6 days if not a custom head etc. ? They also cater to the full range of job types from one-offs to production so can set you up with inexpensive tooling that will give you professional quality results for lower volumes, or high end insert tooling that will make mountains of product economically. ?They have some heads designed for Felder/Hammer securing systems too. ?If you give me some more details for what you're after (maybe a link to the Infinity kit you'd ordered?) I can point you in the right direction.

Whitehill tools in the UK ships to the USA all the time are are often better value than Rangate IMO unless you need something really unique or support for production output. ?

If you need something really unique, Whitehill makes custom tooling all the time too for everything from small hobby sized machines to huge CNC kit with more horsepower than my wife's car to moulders. ?I just finished having a top head made for a 75 year old tenoner where as far as anyone can tell, it's the only example left in existence. ? When you call Whitehill to order or talk to a specialist, you're talking to someone just down the hall from the CNC machining centres that are manufacturing your tooling. ?They make what they sell and the lack of a middle-man leaves pricing very competitive. ?

What¡¯s a good source for corrugated head knife sets? I have a 100x60 titan head that I¡¯m thinking of ordering some knives ground for cabinet door stile and rail profiles.
Also is a combi style head a better choice for my application? I¡¯m not opposed to buying new rolling as I have several different profiles to run and don¡¯t want to invest in profile specific tooling if I can get insert tooling.
