Which cordless oscillating tool

I own a corded Festool oscillating tool and I’m very happy with it. I need to replace some broken water line tiles in the pool so I will need a cordless tool. ?The tiles are glass and given my past experience with hand sawing grout, I don’t think I can do it without scratching the surrounding tiles.?

should I get a cordless Festool or another brand. I also have Milwaukee M18, M12, and Bosch M12 systems.?

I have a corded Fein, a cordless Makita LXT, and a cordless Milwaukee M18.? The Milwaukee is lighter than the Makita, which generally I prefer.? My only complaint with the Milwaukee is the battery goes in at an angle at the bottom so you can't stand it in end when you set it down.? Given you already have M18 tools, I would get the Milwaukee.

I would go Milwaukee 18V, all the trade guys that I saw when I remodeled the house used them and they worked very well. I have corded Fein units and a 12V Bosch, which is handy when you don't want a cord, but honestly the oscillating tools eat batteries like they are candy... so more than a couple of cuts and you will be swapping batteries constantly.

Joe, you might consider a right angle grinder with the diamond wheel on it. That would be my choice.
Oscillating tool would be a big pain in the ass.
Milwaukee oscillating tool 18 V and angle grinder Matebo.

for grout I use a cordless Vecturo, I like the dust collection. ?Got rid of the M18.
for cutting tile, like Mac said, an angle grinder, or I usually use a Dremel & diamond wheel.
good luck, Happy Fourth FOG !

The vecturo is great. It has a plunge depth setting and also a plunge stand. Dust collection is also excellent as you might expect from Festool.?

Cordless Fein for me. Definitely smoother than the Milwaukees and Makitas I’ve tried. Haven’t had a chance to try the Festool.

Apparently the Festool is made by Fein. Same guts different case.

I’d believe that. Same blade capture system etc. either way an excellent tool. Definitely superior to my old Dewalt multi tool.?
