Re: Parts list for Jointer guard arm
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHi Lucky,What you shared looks like my booklet but it does not include the arm to which the guard is mounted. The guard itself is included on a separate page. Kind of strange to not include this. Imran Malik On Nov 7, 2024, at 5:31?PM, David Luckensmeyer via groups.io <david@...> wrote:

Re: F700Z Slider Transport Locks / Lugs
Had the same issue with my K700S and F700Z as they were set in place very snug.? I used a pair of pliers and slowly worked them out...keep in mind there may be thin strips of wood also inserted to prevent the slider from moving...peer down the long channel and check and if you have a PhD in hieroglyphics there may have been a separate set of instructions/paperwork that illustrates the removal of these if you can decipher.

Michael,
I'd forget trying to remove that thing and just use a small diamond stone to do those edges. Jason Holtz J. Holtz Furniture 3307 Snelling Ave. South Minneapolis, MN 55406 612 432-2765 -- Jason J. Holtz Furniture 3307 Snelling Ave. South Minneapolis, MN 55406 |

I should mention that if you do try to use my method, make sure the slider locking lever is not engaged! On Thu, 7 Nov 2024 at 09:14, Mi?elis Vindavs via <mikelis.vindavs=[email protected]> wrote:

Re: F700Z Slider Transport Locks / Lugs
I had a similar issue. Trying to remove them using tools it felt like I'm going to slip and damage something. What worked for me was giving the sliding table a sharp push which made the lug on one side pop out. Hope this helps, and congrats on the new machine! Mi?elis Vindavs? Re: In Need of New Tires for F38
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHi Ron,If you tried to scuff by hand you may not have removed enough material. You literally have to remove the outer layer of material. When I did it before having them recovered, I glued the multiple sandpapers slightly wider than the wheels on a board. The sandpaper strip was long enough to cover length of 4 wheels, well in my case. I clamped the board to the table/slider and lowered the running PF onto the sandpaper. You should see some rubber coming off. With new surface the grip will improve but best long term solution is to get them recovered with polyurethane.
